#On the Shores of Certainty#
We've sailed on all the seas,
Like lost boats in a bitter haze, with little ease.
Hope would ignite a sun in our hearts' deep,
But despair came to silence our awakened sleep.
Our dreams, like mirages in a distant sky,
Were burning embers where an endless desert would lie.
Our doubts, like spiderwebs spun around our souls,
Weary from waiting, taking their heavy tolls.
We ran after these deceiving mirages,
Until our feet were worn from our passages.
We tightened the ropes on hearts without defense,
As if to restore a soul to a life in absence.
Illusion held our captive souls in its hold,
And smoke, a thick veil, on our prospects unfolds.
But every night gives way to dawn's clear might,
And a sun finally breaks through the dark night.
When the illusion grew so vast, so strong,
It threatened to sweep us away, where we didn't belong,
The smoke lifted like a breeze, light and free,
And certainty breathed, setting all the land free.
We finally understood, at the end of our might,
That eternity is a myth, without remorse in its light.
That mountains cannot be reached by all,
Only by those the earth has made, standing tall.
We've come to know that the greatest treasures,
Are the heart's silence, and health's endless pleasures.
That the most beautiful days are those without strife,
Where no joy, no pain, disturbs the quest of our life.
We sleep in peace, filled with profound grace,
Covered by the safety of a solitary space.
As if we've returned to the source, calm and deep,
Where no mirage, no illusion, our path can keep.
