#The Pulse of the Wave: Tumult and Tranquility#
(A Poem on the Fifth Generation - 5G)

O Fifth Generation, wave of the ether bright,

You are the Glaive of Time, cleaving the air with might,

With near-zero latency, a thunderbolt of light,

You carry the cosmos' secrets into human sight.

In a coded pulse, where flashes are the key,

You render yesterday a cavern where, weary,

The Fourth Generation gasped for breath and couldn't flee,

Chasing the mirage's shadow, born too slowly.

I. The Ascent and the Brilliance of New Frontiers

Behold the Speed and the dawn in full array,

You are the Magic Mirror where the World holds sway,

A connected universe, with hardly a delay:

Cars that glide and steer, with no hand to hold the way,

(A bodiless hand that grasps the steering of its fate).

A surgeon can now operate beyond the Seven Seas,

By a robot's hand, achieving all his needs,

That dances on the scalpel, precise as the decree,

With an accuracy as final as Death agrees.

The flow is a Ruby Waterfall that rushes down,

On our (AR) and (VR) screens, wearing no frown,

No stuttering or choking, no break within the town.

You are the Mighty River where the (IoT) streams,

Quenching the devices' thirst, achieving wildest dreams,

Even the smallest dust now speaks in language it deems.

You are the Thousand Knights of bandwidth wide and vast,

Supporting countless gadgets, your strength forever last.

II. The Whispers of Fear and the Shadows of the Past

Yet every sunrise bears a dark reverse, it seems,

Carrying in its folds the night's enduring schemes.

O Giant born of waves, you cast your beams so wide,

On hearts that are assailed where dark anxieties hide,

By a Fear that’s ever fed, alas, it will not cease!

The Coverage is a bright spot, a fleeting piece of peace,

That shuns the distant hamlets, the alleys, and the moor,

And clings to mighty mansions, the cities to adore.

The Costs are Mountains of Gold upon the structure laid,

Digging a Digital Grave, a tragic blockade,

Between the rich one's access and the poor one's plea.

And Health begins to worry, Knowledge bows the knee,

For Man has not disclosed all of your blinding ray,

Though science swears you are not the Spectre of Dismay.

The Security, alas! That frail dividing wall,

All these open windows where the world may freely call,

The curious Eye steps in, and our secret stands bare,

With one swift, furtive click, the intruder is there.

You are a Speed that hunts our hardware in a rush,

Turning the battery to a worn-out cloth or brush,

Ruthlessly draining life from the phone's small shell,

A tiny body carrying a too-powerful knell.

III. The Judgment of the Ages

O Fifth Generation, Sword with a double edge,

Which clears the path to morrows built upon the ledge,

But wounds the present moment through greed and mismanagement.

You are the Mirror of Man's eternal sentiment,

Who seeks to flee the slowness of his dragging destiny.

So let us use you with the wisdom of the ancient's spree,

Or else, you'll be the Curse our own genius has wrought,

The hex that swallows the creator whom it sought.

You are no demon nor angel, simply a device,

Forged by our two hands, by need and by artifice.

O Fifth Star in the firmament of human link,

You remain a Vessel waiting for a captain's wink,

To cross the stormy sea of speed and the friction's flow,

Toward the safe shore of the profit we shall know.

The Future is that Child who holds the device near,

With lightning speed and the zeal of a pioneer;

But will he learn to forge the Sword that gives him might,

Into the Plow that nourishes, and not the blade that bites?
