#The Rubble's Song#
He had a homeland built of light,
From laughter shared and mysteries bright,
Where golden autumn leaves would fall
And paint the faces, one and all.
A land of graceful butterflies
That danced only beneath the skies,
And bedtime tales we'd share at night,
Woven from moonlight, threads of hope and light.
But a wind of deep betrayal blew,
And mixed the dust with tears anew.
The silence stole the starlight's song
From eyes that saw a future long.
The pillars fell, the walls came down,
And hope's frail butterflies flew from the town,
Into a sky that knows no peace,
Where the world’s soul found no release.
The silence, heavier than grief,
Gave to the world a dark relief.
Amid the ruins, night, and dread,
He found but two things in their stead:
His hands, which hope had sown before,
And two clear eyes that held at core
A lantern's flame that would not fade.
That flame was not by fire made,
But by the faith that a new sun
Would rise when all the night was done,
And that the songs that pain had seized
Would grow from patience, on lips appeased.
He rose from ashes of his loss,
And gathered fragments, shards of cross,
Not to rebuild the home he knew,
But turn each piece to something new:
A single star to light his night.
Not to return to time in flight,
But to give hope a brand new day,
For childhood is not just a place to stay,
But a boundless sky where all is grace.
And hope is not a dream to chase,
But a sail that on the ocean glides.
This child, who wept for what hides
From view, now teaches all with might,
That resilience is a song of light.
