#The Offering of Dignity#
Upon the pyre where time concludes,
Where death carves life in final moods,
A flame burns bright, a proud farewell,
Never extinguished, a radiant spell.
In parched earth where the waters cease,
Where naked roots find no release,
A secret sleeps, a coiling snake,
Its leaves all clap for freedom's sake.
She doesn't weep nor begs for fate,
Her body wasn't made of humble state,
But of proud wings and noble pride,
That soar above where miseries hide.
Her spirit's thirst is not the void,
But a wild wish, unbridled, overjoyed,
That spurns the rain of every shame,
For a pure death, in a blameless name.
She offers blood, a burning heart,
To teach old generations from the start,
That one can die standing tall and straight,
And live free, a king in any state.
If time should teach your head to bow,
Behold her strength, a champion now.
For pride's no garment one can wear,
But the very soul that's born to bear.
She is a flower on the chasm's edge,
Dying of thirst, but refuses to pledge,
She only looks to the sky above,
To be the offering of her love.
Her sacrifice, an eternal light,
For all who spurn the cruel yoke's blight.
